Worked this morning and came home just before the rain renewed its' efforts. There's a flood warning and the rain is making its' way into our crappy apartment through the window sills. At least it's supposed to be nice for the weekend and for my birthday. It's really pouring though. We already lost power for a moment once so far.
Later days.

Workin'
The week is just kindda going by. I work in a garden center (where they sell flowers and stuff) on second shift during the week. Doesn't leave me with a whole bunch to write about.
Monday's my birthday and I'm looking forward to Sunday, when my boyfriend's family is throwing me a small party at their place. Our parents are going to be meeting for about the first time (they'd said 'hi' real quick when we were moving in). My brother and my sister-in-law are going to be coming over as well. It's kindda cool.
Well, I'm off to work. Later days.

Not to rest
Okay, so after weighing my options for about an hour, I went out and made the near two mile walk to Field's Fabric. I ended up finding three nice remnants there: one piece of dark brown tweed, one light green/brown tweed, and a nice big piece of black, faux velvet. Along with some cord to use as drawstrings and some matching thread, I spent about $15. Also, I spent about $5 on myself in the form of this really soft bamboo yarn.
During my walk, I ended up pissing off a woodchuck, six ducks, and a squirrel. I stopped long enough to get pictures on my cellphone of the woodchuck, three of the ducks, and the squirrel. All in all, I think my walk was quite a nice adventure.

Now to relax a bit, have a nice cold drink, watch a bit of TV and figure out if I want to sew or knit.

To rest or not to rest
So, my boyfriend dropped me off at work only to pick me back up 10 minutes later, once I'd found out that my work schedule had been changed for the day and I'm not due in. Now I have an entire day that I don't rightly know what to do with.
I could rest and have a day to myself before working the next four days.
Or, I could walk to the local Field's Fabric store and get some scrap material to start making dice bags to turn around and sell on the internet (a project which I've been toying with getting up and running). Of course, I could see if any of my friends have some time to hang out, but the chances are near to nothing for that. Everyone always seems to be working on the days I have off. And then, there's always the option of doing more lines for the show, but I haven't heard back about the ones that I've sent out already and so there's a chance that whatever I read, I'll only have to redo later.
I'm leaning towards trying to get my "business" up and running, since I'd love to have some extra cash around. I just hope that people are actually interested in reasonably priced, hand sewn dice bags.

The need for speed
I find myself growing busier as the weather gets warmer. So many things to do while the weather is warm and only a season to get all of it done before the snow sweeps all the fun out of the year. Weekly gatherings have now gone from every other week to every week, family time is now spent when there is a free moment available, and work becomes more demanding as people want to spend their time planting.
Yet, I still need to find time for myself so I can keep recording lines for the machinima my friends and I put on the web (Chronicle of the Annoying Quest). Recently, I had to download a recording program, Audacity 1.3 (Beta) so that I wouldn't have to find the time to drive over and read my lines at the director's place. Good program, by the way. Very easy to use, even for someone like me, who's never had to use a recording program before. I had to look around for half an hour to figure out how to transform my .aud files to MP3's, but only because I didn't click the right button the first billion times trying it. Anyhow, that went well and I sent out my lines for the 32nd episode (wheee! season 3!), hopefully, I don't have to redo any of them.
I should probably go to bed soon so I have some energy for a full day of work tomorrow. Later days.
