Okay, so after weighing my options for about an hour, I went out and made the near two mile walk to Field's Fabric. I ended up finding three nice remnants there: one piece of dark brown tweed, one light green/brown tweed, and a nice big piece of black, faux velvet. Along with some cord to use as drawstrings and some matching thread, I spent about $15. Also, I spent about $5 on myself in the form of this really soft bamboo yarn.
During my walk, I ended up pissing off a woodchuck, six ducks, and a squirrel. I stopped long enough to get pictures on my cellphone of the woodchuck, three of the ducks, and the squirrel. All in all, I think my walk was quite a nice adventure.
Now to relax a bit, have a nice cold drink, watch a bit of TV and figure out if I want to sew or knit.
